Engineering that survives contact with the field.

I work on the systems between the drawings and reality: utility-scale solar, battery storage, power electronics, commissioning, field operations, and the technical problems that appear when complex infrastructure actually has to work.

Most of my career has been spent where engineering, operations, troubleshooting, customers, and project execution overlap.

Career Story

15+ years in the field
2025 — Present

LATNOVVA

Technical Operations

Strategic technical advisory and field operations across utility-scale Solar PV and BESS. The work bridges engineering design, EPC execution, and long-term asset reliability—helping project owners and operators ensure complex electrical systems perform reliably under real operating conditions.

2020 — 2025

Sungrow Power

Field Engineering to CoE

A five-year progression from hands-on field commissioning to regional engineering leadership. I started in the field commissioning central inverters and battery storage across Latin America, personally delivering site acceptance testing for over 800 MW of PV and early BESS installations.

That foundation evolved into leading the regional Field Service organization across North LATAM, supporting a fleet of more than 2.1 GW of operating solar assets and approximately 60 MWh of BESS. Later, I established the LATAM Center of Expertise (CoE), centralizing tier-3 investigations directly with HQ R&D and building technical certification programs for engineers across the region.

2008 — 2020

Field Foundation

Asset Mgmt & Electronics

Before focusing full-time on utility renewables, I managed a 400+ MW solar asset portfolio at Vector Renewables, monitoring SCADA performance and plant availability.

My earlier background spans wireline operations in oil and gas in Argentina and Venezuela (YPF S.A., Schlumberger) and embedded control systems design (Corpodomotica). Working in high-consequence field environments early on built the operational discipline I rely on today: measure directly, respect thermal and electrical boundaries, and design for maintainability.

Learning systems by building and operating them.

My homelab is where I experiment with servers, Docker, networking, automation, and self-hosted services—giving older hardware a useful second life and proving use cases before investing in dedicated infrastructure.

The Homelab: Reusing Hardware for Real Services

What started as an unused 2013 ASUS VivoPC brought out of retirement to experiment with self-hosted n8n and automation has expanded into a 24/7 learning environment for Docker, Linux, and household services. The public website itself is served via Cloudflare Pages from GitHub, preserving clean separation between public web infrastructure and private experimentation.
